The Buster Miles Story

Buster was 1 of 10 children born to Mim & Dollie Miles while farming 1st in Boaz then later moving to Glenco. Buster joined the Army during World War II before finishing high school. While in the Army he saved $2000 by selling his rations (beer, cigarettes, candy, etc.) & loaning some money. After World War II he returned to Glenco, finished high school & joined his older brother in the automobile business in Gadsden. Within a short time he & his brother opened MIles Motors (the 1st independent used car lot in Anniston in 1947.) Buster was very outgoing, enthusiastic & supportive of area athletics & community functions. He became State President of Alabama Jaycees, which widened his contacts & market to sell vehicles. In 1952 Buster purchased the Chevy Olds dealership in Heflin & met his future bride, Alice Bennett, who he married in 1954. Business continued to grow & moved to a new facility in 1961 for the Chevy Olds store. Miles' love for people, enthusiasm for selling quality cars & trucks & excellent customers service has been sustained and enhanced through the outstanding efforts of the Miles children & employee's at Buster Miles Auto Dealership. In 1978, Matt Miles joined his father full time in business after graduating from Sanford University with a degree in marketing. Matt worked his way through the various departments of the dealership & became Dealer Operator in 1987. In 1994, Matt Miles opened Buster Miles Ford Mercury which has strengthen the Buster Miles brand representing the best selling Models GM & Ford offer, plus a great selection of pre-owned used & program cars (300 to 400 vehicles at 2 great locations in Heflin, AL.) The true Buster Miles advantage lies in the commitment to excellence & customer service of the employee's of Team Buster Miles.
